Summary
Ha Jae-il, once classified as a mere C-rank esper, shattered expectations when he reawakened as an A-class powerhouse. But with great strength came a cruel side effect—crippling insomnia, worsened by the absence of a compatible guide. Years of isolation and buried trauma made even casual touch unbearable.
Then, as if by fate, someone with an astonishing 98% compatibility appears: Seung-hyun, a fellow A-class, but from the unruly and chaotic District 13. Despite his potential, Seung-hyun is anything but traditional—he lacks even the most basic guiding skills.
Frustrated by Jae-il’s condition and Seung-hyun’s raw abilities, the Haon Center issues an unusual directive: “Proceed with the guiding—by any means necessary.”
Their solution? Share a bed twice a week.
It starts with awkward silences and tense distance. But one night, Jae-il wakes with a jolt—someone’s hand grazes his skin. Drowsy and disoriented, he finds Seung-hyun leaning over him, a strange light in his eyes.
“Don’t be scared… your eyes,” Seung-hyun whispers, “they’re beautiful.”
In that moment, something changes. It’s not just guiding—it’s Seung-hyun’s other side, raw and unfiltered, reaching out across the darkness. And Jae-il, for the first time in years, starts to drift into sleep.
