Summary
When I came to, I wasn’t in my world anymore—and somehow, I’d ended up as the top dog in a prison cell. Yeah, seriously.
Apparently, I’d been isekai’d into the world of a book I knew… except I landed there ten years before the actual plot even starts. And worse? The setting is a prison straight out of a nightmare—less “corrections,” more “survival of the fittest.”
Ten years of clawing my way up through chaos, betrayal, and backroom deals… and now, I run the place. Well, sort of. Let’s just say I’m the kind of boss who enjoys his naps, plays dumb when he wants to, and only lifts a finger when it truly matters.
“Mint, seriously. Cut the act.”
“Not sure what you mean, sir.”
Being underestimated has its perks. That is, until the warden comes to me with an offer too tempting to ignore.
“Help me out, and I’ll make sure your name vanishes from the prison records.”
“You have a job for me, then?”
“Exactly. A new inmate’s arriving soon—make him the new top dog.”
Sounds simple. In theory. But nothing’s ever that easy around here. Especially when the warden adds a twist:
“The prison he’s going to is for men.”
“Wait… how am I supposed to get in there without the proper equipment?”
“We’ve prepared a disguise. Use it.”
Oh—and that new inmate? Turns out he’s the main character of the novel’s original timeline.
Looks like things are about to get messy.
