Anna, a dimension traveler, takes on the role of a maid in the Roengrin marquisate—known as the “Swan’s Grave”—hoping to discover her way back to her original world. There, she unexpectedly meets Marquis Rothbart, and in his bewilderment, believes Anna is his missing wife. He abducts Anna and proposes rather absurdly, “become my wife’s replacement.” He then clarifies that in order for her to return to her home world, she must create a child with someone from this world. While Anna wrestles with the proposal, Rothbart’s son, Swan Hilt, stays close-by pleading, “I want a mom, Anna.” A relationship with an inescapable end. A condition Anna simply cannot refuse. Ultimately desperate to return home, Anna gives in to Rothbart’s proposal…
