Rut Partner

A man wakes up in a novel after a long restless night, only to discover he is now stuck in a new, much more brutal and difficult world—the world of relentless, severe financial hardship. To complicate matters further, he has been forced (against his will) to enter an instinct-driven desire-fueled relationship with his “rut partner.” As soon as the bond is broken—leaving behind feelings of void and emptiness—the man will meet yet another man whose presence will trigger in him memories of the one that haunts him.
