Bullying is an unfortunate reality for many students, and Won Yo-il knows this all too well. Due to his name, “Waggle,” he was constantly targeted and eventually developed a fear of Mondays. Sadly, his close friend was one of the main culprits, causing Yo-il to withdraw after leaving school. But, just when he thought things couldn’t get any worse, he found himself enrolled in a new high school. The importance of creating a safe and inclusive learning environment cannot be overstated. By prioritizing kindness and respect, we can help students like Yo-il feel valued and supported, no matter their name or background.
