Summary
Yujin, once a promising doctor, finds his life shattered after being falsely accused of malpractice. Stripped of his license, he’s forced underground—treating patients in a lawless district where even the authorities don’t dare to tread. One night, Yujin saves the life of a man brought in under mysterious circumstances—only to realize too late that the man was a marked traitor within a powerful criminal organization.
Soon after, Yujin is abducted by the syndicate’s infamous leader, Vladimir—a figure cloaked in danger and known for his ruthless discipline. Instead of a bullet or swift punishment, Vladimir keeps Yujin alive, breaking him down bit by bit—psychologically testing him under the guise of repayment. Each night, Yujin is pushed to his limits, unsure if he’s being protected… or prepared for something worse.
But then everything changes.
One evening, Vladimir arrives on Yujin’s doorstep—wounded, disoriented, and clearly unable to remember who he is or why he’s come. His eyes no longer carry menace, but confusion. With no other choice, Yujin hides him. As the days pass and the balance of power shifts, Yujin begins to wonder: is this amnesia a trick? Or has the monster who once haunted his nights been replaced by something much more dangerous… and human?
“Why would you come to me like this?” Yujin whispers. “We were never anything more than enemies… So why now?”
