Summary
Tae-jeong has isolated himself from the world for years, surviving the suffocating confines of his own room. However, things begin to unravel for him when his father is admitted to the hospital after a serious car accident. The emotions of grief and fear twist and knot inside of him until there is no escape except through the uncomfortable rush of desire for something more than just solitude. Tae-Jung finds himself attracted to Eun-won, the quintessential “golden boy”; someone who has everything that Tae-jung lacks (confidence, charm, and a connection with other people). Eun-won looks at Tae-Jung with a mixture of disgust, pity, and an underlying desire, but is unable to fully acknowledge that attraction. The desire for each continues to grow until they are thrown into one another’s arms. Though both initially find comfort in each other, the comfort becomes a compulsion, and both will come to learn that, even in the most broken of hearts, love and destruction can co-exist in the same moment.
