Marin Schventz has been taken from her previous life and placed into the text of a book she had previously read. Previously living in poverty with her sick mother, she had little hope and because of that, she decides to use the only thing she knows she has an advantage, which is the knowledge of what happened in the story, and the events that will eventually occur in the future to change fate between the two of them. After accepting a job at the castle of the blind Duke of West, whose predicted outcome was death, Marin’s life is forever changed when he unexpectedly proposes to her to enter into an engagement, thus changing the course of destiny for the two of them.
